Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Katie—the heart behind Notes of Self.

I’ve always loved experiences that feel unique, personal and full of connection. The first time I created my own fragrance, I fell in love with more than the finished scent. I loved the conversation, creativity and fun that happened while making something that felt completely mine. I went back a second time just to study the experience more closely, and I knew I wanted to create my own version to bring home to Clanton and the surrounding communities.

I also wanted Notes of Self to reflect my belief in a cleaner, more mindful approach to fragrance. I care about creating a healthy environment and being thoughtful about what we bring into our spaces and wear on our skin. That’s why I chose my fragrance options carefully and prioritize ingredient transparency whenever it is available.

Notes of Self is my way of bringing people together to laugh, connect and create something that could belong to no one else. Because your fragrance should feel like you—not everyone else.

Is my date reserved after I pay the deposit?

Your selected time is submitted as a pending request. It is reserved after Katie approves it. If that time can’t be accommodated, she’ll contact you with another date and time.

How many guests do I need?

Standard party pricing begins at six paid guests. Groups of 2–5 are welcome with a $330 private-event minimum.

What does each guest receive?

Each guest explores 31 notes, chooses up to four favorites, creates and names a signature scent, customizes the bottle and leaves with one 15 mL perfume.

Where do you travel?

Notes of Self is based in Clanton, Alabama and serves surrounding areas. Include your event location in the request so travel availability can be confirmed.

Can I reorder my exact scent?

Yes. Your formula is saved after the experience. Use the reorder form above, and include your Formula Number if you know it.
